Nana's shoulder shawl

I'm fairly sure that I haven't posted about this finished object yet, and since it is FINALLY on its way to its new home (courtesy of my husband, who is driving to Tacoma to get me a really cool sewing machine and accessories), I feel like I can safely show you a picture!

I finished Betty's summerlin, I whipped up a Tribble to use in the tub and then I sat down and I finished the first sleeve for my Gathered-ish Pullover. It made me feel good to be finishing a few things but it made me feel REALLY good to be so close to done with this blasted sweater.

Don't get me wrong. I love this sweater. It is long enough, the color is great, the fair-isle is decent (if not terribly exciting), the cable looks lovely. I just get to cursing at it every time I think about the things I've experienced while working on it. I've been knitting it since BEFORE I WAS PREGNANT, and frankly it is about damn time I finish it off.

Having said that, it'll probably take another year to knit the second sleeve.
